Crafted from two contrasting clay bodies, each Saisho vessel forms an intertwining landscape of expressive texture. Though the form is repeated using a mold, the surface is never the same. Gestural black slip is applied intuitively, creating dynamic marks and spontaneous rhythms that respond to the vessel’s curves. The result is a unique composition—where tension, movement, and material interplay give each piece its own distinct voice.
